- RTP (return to player)
- A long-run theoretical percentage showing how much of all money staked on a game is returned to players over a very large number of rounds. It says nothing about any single session, only about the average over time.
- Volatility (or variance)
- A description of how a game pays out over time. Low volatility tends to produce smaller, more frequent wins, while high volatility produces fewer wins that can be larger when they land. Neither is better, they simply feel different to play.
- Stake range
- The minimum and maximum bet a game accepts per round, shown on its info screen. Choosing a stake within a range you are comfortable with matters more than chasing the maximum.
- Paytable
- The reference screen inside a game that lists what each symbol or hand is worth and explains any special features, shown before you need to guess.
- Live casino
- A category where rounds are run by a real host in real time, streamed to your screen, rather than resolved by software alone.
- Instant games
- Quick-resolving games, often card or scratch style, that finish a round in a moment rather than unfolding over reels or a full table sequence.
- Session limit
- An account setting that ends or flags a play session automatically once a set amount of time has passed, part of the responsible play tools available to every account.
